Why we're raising, and what the money is for

The product runs in our invite-only build today. Here's what it takes to put it in front of everyone who lives in meetings, Gmail and Slack.

CompanyThe Jaymini team4 min read

We've built the core of Jaymini with a very small team. The loop works: notes in, minutes, summaries and follow-up drafts out, in visible steps that stop for your approval. What's left is mostly the unglamorous, expensive part of turning a working product into one that people can trust with their meetings and inboxes.

Where the money goes

  • Security reviews. Reading Gmail and full Google Drive requires Google's yearly security assessment, and companies expect SOC 2. Both take time and money before the first big customer.
  • Connections done properly. Google's verification, Slack's app review, Granola, and Google Docs and Sheets edits that preserve formatting.
  • Engineers. The AI Teammates' runtime and evaluation, so every draft gets measurably better, not just different.
  • AI compute. Generous free use while people try it, and a local model option for anyone who needs their data to stay on their own machine.

Why now

Work software is being rebuilt around AI agents right now, and the incumbents are moving. The window for an AI team workspace that starts from the tools people already use, instead of asking them to migrate, is open today. It won't stay open long.
